FlexWiimote3D - Take control!

Für diesen Inhalt steht leider keine Übersetzungen zur Verfügung. Originaltext wird angezeigt.

As already promised I took some time to build a sample code for controlling 3D objects via a Wiimote controller using the VirtualMouse class. For sure it is one of the core functionalities of our 3D modeler project G-Nero but I think it is worth to share and show the possibilities of the amazing projects Papervision3D and WiiFlash . The example includes features like pointing, moving and rotating 3D objects. Video and source code are available.

Have a great weekend ;-)

Hi Erik and thanks for this example.

In my case, my problems was not to interact with a pv3d object but with a texture object of a pv3d object. For example, my 3d plane have a movie material with two differents buttons inside. i currently can't click these 2 buttons. Have u made some try with that ?

I will make some others try with this example.

Thanks again, i really appreciate.

@ ALL: thanks for your feedback!

@ Dirk: There's already an example with head tracking using the Wiimote. Have a look at the video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IWguWpKkMI0

Enjoy! I didn't take a look at the code but it should be simple to rebuild since we got all the sensor data from WiiFlash and the amazing power of Papervision3D. In the comments of the video someone mentioned the FaceAPI (http://www.seeingmachines.com/faceAPI.html). This is used for "head tracking" via image analyses. I think much more people do have a webcam than a Wiimote so it would be absolutely fantastic if this would be ported to AS3.

@ Anthony: What kind of problems do you have with the sensors?
