How should i start... or where!? With this article I just want to push the infomartion about the projet to the current state. There are so much interfaces and fortunately many skilled coders with their solutions along our goal with this project. We just had to implement important functionalities like Flash Remoting (AMFPHP), image exporting (JPEG and PNG encoder), printing, mouse wheel support (for Mac OS X) and so much more.

PV3Dmodeler: Slideshow
Tuesday, 16 October 2007

Until I'll build a first demonstration video I took some time to make some screnshots, describe them and put them together into a slideshow. Currently we're working on the export functionalities which will be very important. Beside output format like ActionScript there will be also image formats included. Mario Klingemann did an excellent work with his BitmapExporter class and it will help us to get most out of it. Stay tuned for updates!

It's really looking good with the work on it! This is just a short report so let's see the facts: the 3D modeling application is developed rapidly and we're very pleased with the current state. All typical objects and materials are enabled and we're trying to get more out of it. Also manipulation tools like move, rotate and scale and many other functionalities are implemented yet (e.g. a manager for cross-domain-policy files so users are able to use bitmapMaterials with pictures from the internet, automatic quality switcher for faster rendering perfomance, ... so much more).

Have a look at the screenshot and stay tuned!

Papervision3D's popularity is absolutely incredible. Due to the growing ideas and possibilities on PV3D the conceptual process is more intensive and for many people 3D modeling and programming is still a closed book. I'm currently working on a 3D modelling application which will offer fast creation, viewing and editing of a 3D scene and its objects. The export functionalities will provide formats like AS2/AS3 code and hopefully ASE and/or COLLADA.
