Keynote meets Papervision3D
Saturday, 11 August 2007

Since a few weeks I got my own first iMac. This week Apple iWork 08 was released and I really love the transition effects of Keynote (especially the new ones). Today I played a few hours on getting some of them built in Flash. Let me introduce my assistants: Papervision3D for 3D rendering, Tweener for animation and I also used the Relfection class from Flash Dev. For now I just embedded the 3 images of each slideshow in the library but for sure it could be extended with external images. I think it all works pretty fine. Enjoy!

These are 2 effects which are based on the original ones from Apple's Keynote. With Papervision and Tweener it should be possible to port nearly every effect and round it up with some more slideshow functions... I wish I had more time to spent on that :(

  • Duration: Specifies the time in seconds for the transition effect.
  • Images are nested in a movie from the library.
  • Reflection is built with ActionScript.
