Keynote meets Papervision3D - Part 2
Sunday, 12 August 2007

OK... I just can't keep my hands off this. The first article yesterday showed 2 ported effects from Apple's Keynote to Flash. Because it was that easy I decided to build 2 more effects so here they are. I hope this example shows how fast you can build fascinating 3D scenes with PV3D and the Tweener class.

These are 2 new effects which are based on the original ones from Apple's Keynote. Please have a look a the first part of this article.

  • Duration: Specifies the time in seconds for the transition effect.
  • Images are nested in a movie from the library.
  • Reflection is built with ActionScript.

Any chance we could see the source for this?

Hi Nick,

I'll build a complete package with the 4 existing effects (maybe some more) and extend it with external image loading. The whole thing will be shared in the next few days.

This could be a really cool transition library or presentation animation kit. It is funny if you look back on most flash blogs these days the first posts are about papervision, it spawned much interest in flash again and if Adobe isn't funding them they should kick some to the 3d engines that are making this really fun.
