It's really looking good with the work on it! This is just a short report so let's see the facts: the 3D modeling application is developed rapidly and we're very pleased with the current state. All typical objects and materials are enabled and we're trying to get more out of it. Also manipulation tools like move, rotate and scale and many other functionalities are implemented yet (e.g. a manager for cross-domain-policy files so users are able to use bitmapMaterials with pictures from the internet, automatic quality switcher for faster rendering perfomance, ... so much more). Have a look at the screenshot and stay tuned! ScreenshotsTrackback(0)

It makes me deeply happy that you're working on this; I wondered how long it would be before someone came up with a modeler based on PV3D. One of the cool things about Flex PV3D is that you can copy an arbitrary UIElement to a bitmap, so even if you can't view the high-quality render in real time, you can still render it (using a server side script to save the file, of course). Plus, if you stick it in AIR you can save directly to disk, even with video! (Assuming you write the appropriate encoder, which doubtless is trivial ). I short, very very cool and can't wait until it comes out. |
