First of all I'd like to say NO!... not yet another widget provider. In the thick jungle of widgets (or also called gadgets) we have to filter out the web-based ones. And after this please divide the "toys" from the utilities. Now there'll be precious few of the millions before. But now tell me which of these do not require a continous care? Not much I think.

The first step to our own widgets were made by my desire to have a glossary of technical words with links to Wikipedia.org or directly to related sites. The problem was my laziness to create and administer this list. What about dynamically detect important words and automatically link pages to them? Impossible? No, the keyword is: Webservices!

The 3 important basics are...

• NO need of programming skills (you can also customize with javascript)
• NO server-side requirements of technologies (PHP, ASP, JSP, ...)
• NO need of additional disk space for files

and for sure: 100% free!

You just need to register to get the required "U8 access key" which allows you to run widgets from registered hosts. Until now we released our new portal U8 web widgets with currently 4 published widgets.
